The mood gets darker and more unsettling as you progress. You will encounter the same exhibitions in disturbing new forms as you become increasingly more panicked to escape. You will have to make cruel decisions in order to leave.

Regardless of the sinister undertone to the game, there is a story to learn that will keep you gripped to the end. And the end totally depends on the choices you make during the game; there are different possible endings, so you can play this multiple times and discover the different finales.

Short history of Exhibit of Sorrows

This game was developed by Maxim Tsai, known as adayofjoy on Reddit and Itch.io, in collaboration with US animation artist Theresa Kao, who is interested in exploring how animation can be adapted to macabre contexts. Exhibit of Sorrows only took four months to develop, and it is a successful example of an indie game finding a large audience.
